Klondike: 2/15/20
My opinion about Klondike: spectacular. The view from the drive was beautiful. It didn’t snow during the time we went, but we still had fun. We had a competition between multiple troops. Klondike helped us get out of our comfort zone and become a part of the Troop. The best part was having a sleigh race, which we did great on. We learned how to be more independent in the wilderness, how to use a compass, cook, clean, make a campfire, build shelters, and so much more.
Mt. Tam campout: 11/15/19
I loved this campout/hike, I did wish we got to go to the watershed below, but the top of the mountain was gorgeous. The site has multiple trees and natural icons. Like all hikes, the view was great. To me, the best part was the beach, I’m not super favorable for beaches, but this one was great since we all were there.
Trails to first-class, Hudson park: 10/18/19
Trails to first-class, Hudson park was the reason I made it to the rank I am in today it was fun we had so many activities to do it was hard to stop having fun. I learned a lot of scouting skills and necessaries during this campout. Trails to first-class was my first long campout, I was a completely new scout when I went to Huddart Park TTFC, so it helped me develop my scouting. We learned how to hold and use a knife, ax, how to tie knots, and so on. This campout wasn’t only enjoying it was marvelous as well. The surroundings were tall trees that swayed by the wind. I remember that we had a dessert contest, all the food was delicious!
Lake Elizabeth: 21-22 ,2018
I know this was technically wasn’t a huge campout, but it was the first campout that I been too, so I had to include it. It started so scarily and weird. This campout made me understood what an amazing troop we are, all the new scouts at that time were welcomed and wanted into troop 220. I am extremely trembled by depth, not heights, for some reason depth in water, but canoeing made my fear reduce. Even though my canoe came in last place for the race, it was exciting to experience so much water in one place. We learned how to set up a tent, cook with what we have, and info in becoming a good scout.
